Description
An undyed cover that records its first year
Ghost Wax Natural is a vegetable-tanned hide from Conceria Walpier carrying a pale, frosted wax layer over undyed leather. Nothing is dyed and nothing is covered up.
The wax is not a permanent finish, and it is not supposed to be. Where your hand sits — the spine, the front corner, the edge you open it from — the frost wears through first and a warmer honey-caramel tone comes up underneath. Within a few months the front of the cover carries a fairly accurate map of how you hold it.
Marks in the wax are normal, and some covers arrive with a few already in them. That is the wax layer scuffing, not damage to the leather beneath it. The layer is soft on purpose: press a scuff with your thumb and it settles back into the surface, and in any case the whole cover is heading the same way — the frost is meant to go.
Undyed leather also darkens on its own, from daylight and from the oils on your hands. A natural cover a year old sits several shades deeper than the one that came out of the box.

The standard cover uses a modular elastic system and can carry two or three thin notebooks, depending on their thickness. If you need another layout, we can add extra holes and extra elastics before cutting.
The SLOWLINES logo is stamped in the finish you choose for your text: gold foil with gold, silver with silver, blind debossing with no foil on either. We do not mix the two.
Care
Natural leather changes with use
It may darken, soften, gain shine and develop small marks over time – this is part of its character.
To care for your cover, wipe it gently with a dry soft cloth. Avoid soaking, alcohol-based cleaners, direct heat and prolonged sunlight. Let the leather age naturally, and use leather balm only when the surface feels dry.
Design
A clean, minimal cover designed for daily writing
Each cover uses a secure elastic system that lets you carry one notebook on the main elastic, with the option to add up to two extra slim notebooks using an additional elastic. This means one cover can hold up to three notebooks in total, depending on the thickness of your inserts.
The construction stays simple on purpose: clean lines, carefully finished edges and enough structure to protect your notebooks without making the cover feel bulky.
