Grey Pueblo Leather Cover

Grey leather, which is rarer than it sounds

Vegetable-tanned leather resists grey. The tanning itself pushes everything warm, so most greys on the market are pigmented — a coating over the hide that cracks and rubs off at the corners. Badalassi Carlo get there differently, and Pueblo Grey is dyed through with the brushed matte surface left open.

It means the colour behaves like leather rather than like paint. Hand oils darken it toward a deeper slate, most visibly at the spine and the front corner, and the grain stays legible under the tone instead of being sealed beneath it. Nothing flakes, because there is nothing sitting on top to flake.

The starting shade is cool and slightly dusty, and it is the one cover we make that reads as quiet from across a room. It goes with a black elastic if you want it invisible, or with something bright if you would rather it did not disappear.

2.0–2.2 mm, softer in the hand than our other hides.

The standard cover uses a modular elastic system and can carry two or three thin notebooks, depending on their thickness. If you need another layout, we can add extra holes and extra elastics before cutting.

The SLOWLINES logo is stamped in the finish you choose for your text: gold foil with gold, silver with silver, blind debossing with no foil on either. We do not mix the two.
