The wrap folds around the whole notebook and holds it shut, so nothing catches in a bag and the corners stop curling. In Badalassi Carlo Pueblo, brown, it does that without ever developing a shine.
Pueblo's surface is brushed, not polished. Handling darkens it — along the fold, down the flap, across the spine — but it darkens matte. A two-year-old Pueblo trifold looks like worn wood rather than worn plastic, and the grain stays visible the whole way through.
At 2.0–2.2 mm it is the most forgiving hide we make a trifold from. The flap folds cleanly instead of springing back, and the closed width stays reasonable even with several notebooks riding on the elastics.
We can cut extra elastic holes to your notebook count if you tell us before we start.
The SLOWLINES logo is stamped in the finish you choose for your text: gold foil with gold, silver with silver, blind debossing with no foil on either. We do not mix the two.
It may darken, soften, gain shine and develop small marks over time – this is part of its character.
To care for your cover, wipe it gently with a dry soft cloth. Avoid soaking, alcohol-based cleaners, direct heat and prolonged sunlight. Let the leather age naturally, and use leather balm only when the surface feels dry.
Each cover uses a secure elastic system that lets you carry one notebook on the main elastic, with the option to add up to two extra slim notebooks using an additional elastic. This means one cover can hold up to three notebooks in total, depending on the thickness of your inserts.
The construction stays simple on purpose: clean lines, carefully finished edges and enough structure to protect your notebooks without making the cover feel bulky.
