Pale wax over warm brown, and the brown comes through

Ghost Wax Light Brown is a Walpier vegetable-tanned hide with a frosted wax layer over a mid-brown base. It arrives looking dusty and cool, and it does not stay that way for long.

Handling clears the frost, and the tone that surfaces is considerably warmer than the one you unwrapped — closer to caramel than to the greyed brown on the shelf. Of the three Ghost Wax colours this is the one where the change reads most clearly as a change in colour rather than in sheen, which makes it the easiest to watch.

Marks in the wax layer are ordinary, and a new cover may already carry a few. They sit in the wax, not in the hide. A thumb rubbed over a scuff blends it in, and the layer itself is on its way off from the day it arrives.

Firm and structured, at roughly 2.2–2.4 mm, so it stands on a desk instead of slumping and keeps the crease line where it was folded.

The standard cover uses a modular elastic system and can carry two or three thin notebooks, depending on their thickness. If you need another layout, we can add extra holes and extra elastics before cutting.

The SLOWLINES logo is stamped in the finish you choose for your text: gold foil with gold, silver with silver, blind debossing with no foil on either. We do not mix the two.
