Camel tan on Buttero is close to what veg-tanned leather wants to be: a warm mid-tan with the grain legible through it, no pigment sitting on the surface, nothing corrected.
Because there is no coating, the hide takes light and hand oils directly, and camel is the shade where that shows most clearly. It moves toward honey, then toward a deeper amber, and the parts you touch get there first — which on a smooth, firm hide like Buttero means the spine and the front corner develop a genuine shine while the rest stays soft-matte.
It is also the least forgiving colour we offer. A scratch on camel shows. Most people who choose it want that: the marks are the record, and after a year the cover is unmistakably yours rather than a copy of one.

The standard cover uses a modular elastic system and can carry two or three thin notebooks, depending on their thickness. If you need another layout, we can add extra holes and extra elastics before cutting.
The SLOWLINES logo is stamped in the finish you choose for your text: gold foil with gold, silver with silver, blind debossing with no foil on either. We do not mix the two.
Care
Natural leather changes with use
It may darken, soften, gain shine and develop small marks over time – this is part of its character.
To care for your cover, wipe it gently with a dry soft cloth. Avoid soaking, alcohol-based cleaners, direct heat and prolonged sunlight. Let the leather age naturally, and use leather balm only when the surface feels dry.
Design
A clean, minimal cover designed for daily writing
Each cover uses a secure elastic system that lets you carry one notebook on the main elastic, with the option to add up to two extra slim notebooks using an additional elastic. This means one cover can hold up to three notebooks in total, depending on the thickness of your inserts.
The construction stays simple on purpose: clean lines, carefully finished edges and enough structure to protect your notebooks without making the cover feel bulky.
