Description
Matte, undyed, and it darkens only from your hands
Pueblo comes from Badalassi Carlo, and its surface is mechanically brushed rather than polished. There is no shine on it at all — not when it arrives and not after a year. It has a slightly fibrous, dry feel that people either take to immediately or not at all.
Natural means undyed. The colour it has is the colour vegetable tanning left it: pale, sandy, a little uneven across the hide. From there it darkens, and the only things that darken it are daylight and the oils from your hands. There is no finish sitting on top to wear through first, so the change is gradual and even rather than patchy — the cover simply becomes a deeper honey month by month.
Pueblo also comes a little thinner than our other hides, 2.0–2.2 mm rather than 2.2–2.4. In the hand it feels softer and less architectural, and it breaks in sooner.

The standard cover uses a modular elastic system and can carry two or three thin notebooks, depending on their thickness. If you need another layout, we can add extra holes and extra elastics before cutting.
The SLOWLINES logo is stamped in the finish you choose for your text: gold foil with gold, silver with silver, blind debossing with no foil on either. We do not mix the two.
Care
Natural leather changes with use
It may darken, soften, gain shine and develop small marks over time – this is part of its character.
To care for your cover, wipe it gently with a dry soft cloth. Avoid soaking, alcohol-based cleaners, direct heat and prolonged sunlight. Let the leather age naturally, and use leather balm only when the surface feels dry.
Design
A clean, minimal cover designed for daily writing
Each cover uses a secure elastic system that lets you carry one notebook on the main elastic, with the option to add up to two extra slim notebooks using an additional elastic. This means one cover can hold up to three notebooks in total, depending on the thickness of your inserts.
The construction stays simple on purpose: clean lines, carefully finished edges and enough structure to protect your notebooks without making the cover feel bulky.
