Navy Blue Buttero Leather Cover

Navy that is not quite black and not quite blue

In most light, navy Buttero reads as very dark — near enough to black that it works anywhere black would. Turn it toward a window and the blue arrives, deep and slightly inky, and the cover becomes obviously a colour rather than an absence of one.

Buttero is smooth and firm, so the hide picks up a shine where it is held. On navy this happens in the same places as on black — spine, corners, thumb — but the polished areas look bluer than the matte ones rather than just glossier, which gives the cover a shifting quality black does not have.

It is the compromise colour in the range and it works: as restrained as black on a meeting table, more interesting in the hand.

Pairs well with a tan or rust elastic if you want the blue to register immediately.

The standard cover uses a modular elastic system and can carry two or three thin notebooks, depending on their thickness. If you need another layout, we can add extra holes and extra elastics before cutting.

The SLOWLINES logo is stamped in the finish you choose for your text: gold foil with gold, silver with silver, blind debossing with no foil on either. We do not mix the two.
