Pebble grain, which is the practical choice

Dollaro is embossed with a fine pebble texture, and that texture does something none of our other hides manage: it hides the day-to-day. Keys, zips, the corner of a laptop, the bottom of a bag — the marks land in the grain instead of across a flat surface, and they disappear.

In black this is at its most useful. A black cover shows everything on a smooth hide; on Dollaro it shows almost nothing. Six months of being carried and it still looks deliberate rather than battered, which matters if the notebook goes into a bag with everything else you own.

It is also the least demonstrative leather we use. Nothing lifts, nothing blooms, nothing fades at the folds. If the point of the cover is that the notebook survives and looks composed, rather than that the cover becomes a diary of its own, this is the one.

The standard cover uses a modular elastic system and can carry two or three thin notebooks, depending on their thickness. If you need another layout, we can add extra holes and extra elastics before cutting.

The SLOWLINES logo is stamped in the finish you choose for your text: gold foil with gold, silver with silver, blind debossing with no foil on either. We do not mix the two.
